SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic .- An Army colonel who allegedly supplied by the card of the National Intelligence (DNI) to Puerto Rican drug lord Jose David Figueroa, could be called by the authorities for questioning in the process followed to Sobeida Felix Morel and others accused of money laundering.
The official, who said he worked in most of the state intelligence agencies, was canceled and dishonorably dismissed from the ranks of the Army earlier this year.
The unidentified colonel with 20 years of service, would have given the credential of the DNI to Figueroa in 2002 and was canceled by the Executive on a date that promotions and retirements are not common. His pension was made exclusively for him.
The alleged drug dealer Figueroa while being arrested by agents from the DEA and FBI.
In the coming days the name of the former officer will be released into the investigations that Dominican and Puerto Rican authorities are conducting in relation to drug trafficking operations in the countries Figueroa.
The National District Attorney is in possession of all documents in the file which will process in the coming hours with new involved in the case and believes the former army officer who refused to identify Sobeida Happy Morel in his cross is called by the authorities.
